Voltage field caused by electrostatic charges
Charges can be moved in a plane, and the resulting voltage and force field
is displayed as equipotential curves with quiver plot for the forces, or as an
image (shades of gray for positive, red for negative)
First contact
Three charges lie in a plane. The voltage they create is represented as equipotential curves; the force field is represented by arrows. The charges themselves are displayed as numbers (only their relative value is meaningful). They can be moved with the mouse. By selecting Potential in the Plots menu, the equipotential curves are replaced with shades of gray and red.

Charges
The value of the charges can be specified in a dialog box. The number of charges can be increased or decreased. Additional charges are placed at the center of gravity of existing charges.
